Break out your sunhats and boots (and maybe raincoats) and walk a day in the life of a Wellington Zoo Keeper.  Discover what it takes to care for some of the amazing kararehe (animals) that live at Te Nukuao. Learn about animal waiora (well-being) and how we make sure they’re happy and healthy. 

 

Activities on this day may include: 

  • Prepare an animal’s diet at the Nutrition Centre 

  • Clean an animal habitat – clean up poo, clean the windows or sweep out dens 

  • Create and deliver enrichment for an animal – make their day fun too!
